Rooster Comb(edit)

Overview

This 5 mi round trip out and back hike is an easy-to-moderately strenuous hike to Rooster Comb, which offers extensive views, in the High Peaks Wilderness in Adirondack Park

As one nears the summit, there is an optional .2 mi round trip extension to Valley View Ledge.

Consider combining a hike to Rooster Comb with a hike to Snow Mountain, which also has extensive views, via a 6.4 mi loop hike.

Getting Started

Parking is available at Roster Comb trailhead on NY-73 in Keene Valley, NY. It is on one’s right, just after passing Noonmark Diner on the left and Old Mountain Coffee Company on the right, as one heads East on NY-73.
