Overview

This area is known as Ashby Gap and is part of the AT. The distance shown is only one way. If taking this hike you should plan for a round trip. Your distance is only determined by your desire. It is a pretty easy hike with a lot of change in elevation...but not steep. There are a couple of trickling streams in the Spring and the canopy keeps you pretty well covered in the Summer.

Getting Started

Parking is located off of Bluemridge Mountain Rd. The turn in to the parking lot is sharp and down dirve drive. Ther is parking for about 10 vehicles in theparking area and NO parking along Blueridge Mountain Rd.
