Great Falls is one of my favorite area in Northern Virginia. The overlooks on the Virginia side are breathtaking and the entire park is rich in history. This is an easy hike and each overlook is accessible for all levels of mobility. You are close enough to see park visitors on the Maryland side as well as kayakers braving the rapids. But don’t head over the trail edge to climb the rocks! Many are rescued there every year and some did not make it out. Stay safe and enjoy!
