This is a steep challenging hike, even though not too long. Very hot in summer, much better in winter or spring. Ticks are bad in spring so cover up. Seriously. On Labor Day parts of trail were overgrown and had treacherous footing, so be careful. Very poorly maintained trails. Views are very nice at the top. Bring a machete and hiking poles. This park needs some serious trail overhauls.
