TrailBehind is the provider of the Service, which permits you to utilize certain Internet services, including storing your personal content (waypoints, maps, tracks, and photo waypoints) and making it accessible on your compatible devices and our GaiaCloud website, only under the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. As soon as you enable GaiaCloud, your content will be automatically sent to our server and stored by TrailBehind, so you can later access that content or have content wirelessly pushed to your other GaiaCloud-enabled devices.
PrivacyTrailBehind reserves the right to make use of any data you upload to GaiaCloud for development purposes. This may include employees of TrailBehind monitoring usage of the Service and observing data you upload.
Other than internal usage, we strive through technical means to make your data private and secure, as follows. In order to access any particular data object you store in the Service, such as a track or photo, a user must know the private uniform resource locator (URL) for that object. Those private URLs are displayed only to you when you are logged in to the Service, and can be shared initially only by you. Those URLs are also generated to be difficult-to-guess using modern cryptographic standards.
Privacy - AnalyticsTrailBehind reserves the right to track and analyze your usage of the system for development and marketing purposes, including but not limited to using Google Analytics to log usage on gaiagps.com and in the Gaia GPS mobile app.
You may opt out of Analytics tracking. To opt out in the mobile app, go to the Settings screen and disable the tracking. To toggle tracking for gaiagps.com, log in, and a button will appear below this sentence that lets you opt out.
ReliabilityYou are responsible for backing up, to your own computer or other device, any important waypoints, tracks, photo waypoints, or other Content that you store or access via the Service. TrailBehind does not guarantee or warrant that any Content you may store or access through the Service will not be subject to inadvertent damage, corruption or loss.
Data RetentionThis section tells you how your data is retained, and how it can be deleted. Although this section describes some technical aspects of the Service, this does not constitute a guarantee of the reliability of the Service - this description is given only so that you can understand how to delete your data.
Any content you upload to GaiaCloud is stored indefinitely, unless deleted by you. You can delete your content using gaiagps.com. If you have any trouble deleting data, you may also contact firstname.lastname@example.org, and TrailBehind will make all reasonable efforts to assist you.
Data uploaded to gaiagps.com is backed up on a daily basis, and those back-ups are stored for 30 days. Therefore, your data may exist for 30 days in the form of a back-up, even after it has been deleted. TrailBehind will not assist in removing data from back-ups, unless TrailBehind at its sole discretion determines doing so is necessary and commercially feasible.
