Went with my friend Bill on this 2.70 Mile hike on Congaree Creek in Cayce. Nice flat swampy hike. Was highlighted by blooming Partridgeberry all along the trail. Pictures will follow. Saw a huge Alligator but he slid into the muck before I could get a photo. Saw some Blue-eyed Grass, Ox-eye Daisy, Carolina Cranesbill, Wood Sorrell and Butterweed. Birds were Red-eyed Vireo, Prothonotary Warbler, Tufted Titmouse, Cedar Waxwings, Northern Parula and Wood Thrush. Great place to hike before it gets too hot.
