This was a spectacular day for hiking - the best of the summer - 70s, sunny and breezy. The track is missing the first .8 mile up the Bad Dog Trail toward Steel Derrick, but it's worth having the rest of it to see where our photos were taken. This route has a lot of mixed terrain - narrow shaded trails & wider sunlit roads, with plenty of rocks, roots and grassy areas - but mostly gentle inclines and easy going. Greenbelt triangle in the NW corner was well cleared the first half -- then totally filled in at the end connecting with Anne's Path. Took some doing to find the trail -- thank goodness for trail markers on the trees. A "small" group today - just 16. Led by Monica. 3.4 miles total, completed in 2 hours.
