Turtle Mountain is the site of the Frank Slide tragedy, but the mountain itself is a worth ridge hike with gorgeous exposed white limestone to the south summit. The north true summit requires route finding. The open fissures and crevasses makes it unsuitable for winter hiking past the south summit.
