Hiked from Granite Park campground to Many Glacier. I misplaced my backup battery for my iPhone so I only recorded track from Granite Park Chalet to the first bridge crossing of Swiftcurrent Creek on the East side of Glacier National Park. Perfect weather! This weekend weather forecast to be up to 100 degrees F. Glacier Lilies were in full bloom in the meadows between the Chalet and the Garden Wall. If you look closely at the second photo you can see Swiftcurrent Lookout at 8,042 feet that trail is the highest in Glacier Park. Hope to get up there again this fall after temps start to drop, No water on that trail lots of switchbacks. One of the top view trails in Glacier National Park Descent to Many Glacier Valley not for the casual hiker! On the way down most of the pauses were to take close up pics of wildflowers for my iBook on Wildflowers in Glacier National Park (links on my website to iBook) The longer pauses on way down were to put on then remove microspikes while crossing snowfields. slow hiker www.glacierhikers.com
