Kayakoy-Oludeniz-Drover Trail 18/04/2016
This is a 10km circular walk from Kayakoy that links the Lycian way to Oludeniz with my Drover trail walk, do anti-clockwise as some sections are steep and on rock, don't do in wet weather, boots essential. Not for anyone who finds an exposed off track climb on rock at 1400ft uncomfortable. The first leg down the Lycian way is beautiful with great views after about 1km, the track is well market and well used.
On reaching the road keep going for 900m to the Sea Horse Beach Club then turn left up a steep track which takes you up to a fenced camp site, stay to the left of the fence and continue upwards until you see a red arrow. Follow the red markings on a open woodland trail to a grassy knoll where it ends with great views.
The next section is off track and exposed. Turn onto the rocky spine of the hill and climb steadily towards a cliff face and go off the rocky spine to the right for a few meters before joining an upwards direction wide ledge, it is safe, though exposed. Continue upwards and it gets easier near to the top but still very exposed where you join my unmarked Drovers trail with great views. Go left on the trail that is hard to stay on and at times it disappears. Go over a narrow defile and drop steadily across unmarked terrain passing a old well and then to a second water hole and onto a easily walked track returning you to the top of the old Greek village.
