This trip to Norway's highest mountain starts off at Juvasshytta (1841m / 6040ft). The trip to Galdhøpiggen has 3 different sections. First you walk about an hour on rocks, until you reach Styggebreen ("ugly glacier"). Here the group gathers and rope up with a glacier guide. The walk across the glacier is about 50-60 minutes. Once everyone is across there is a small break before the last climb to the top. This part is steep, with steep drops on either side. Trip to the top will take about 20-30 minutes. Once at the top (2469m / 8100ft) you have about 1 hour before the guides want you back down. The trip takes from 6-7.5 hours in total.
