Homestake Peak loop
6:55 start. 1.5 hours to hut. 2.6 miles from Wurts ditch road split and parking. 11:30 summit. 445 back to car. 9hr 50 min. Lots of snow. Got soft on way up due to sun. Decided to take ridge around bowl. Had some narrow spots and icy spots. Ended up using crampons and ice ax. Once got down to trees, it was mashed potatoes. Postholing even with snowshoes
