Rained night before, so woke to ice on fly and ground sheet. Made for a heavy pack for the 18 km trek. Trail closest to river was rutted and rooted, so slow travel deapite the flat terrain. Once up higher and away from river, normal forest hike. Stopped for lunch at a washed away bridge. Just downstream is Brazeau Beach. Gorgeous spot. After Brazeau River campground, there's a bridge over Brazeau River. Climbed high above canyon walls, until reached the lake. Too cold and windy to enjoy the lake, but did plan my route across the lake for tomorrow. Great campsite. Lots of tables, horseshoe pit, and a Biffy Chain.
