This is a fun trail that is not on all the maps. I had never done it, so it was particularly exciting today in the fog and rain! The trail itself was in surprisingly good shape. There is a bit of ducking in "rabbit runs," lots of scrambling and boulder hopping, so it's better without trekking poles. The trail is a little tricky to follow in spots and I got off trail towards the top of the Rock Garden. The Rock Garden itself is a great place to have a picnic and explore the cool rock formations. Continue past the Rock Garden to the top of White Mountain and then backtrack a minute of two to finish the trail at the intersection of E. Camino Cielo or further doan Gibraltar Road. The hike took me just over 3 hours including an half hour of trail maintenance and a little route finding. 2 to 2.5 hours is a better estimate and longer if you want to have a picnic and explore the Rock Garden. Enjoy!
