10 mile trip down to the campground (The check-in is at 8 miles and the campground at 10 to 11 miles.) Pretty easy hike all in all to there. Temperature would be the killer here, but we were in November. Below the campground is the dreaded tunner, caves, ladder and chains route to the bottom of Mooney Falls. From there it's 3 more miles crossing the stream back and forth to Beaver Falls. After Beaver, there's a sketchy route on the right which climbs UP and DOWN followed by 5 more miles to the river. It's a nice walk thereafter. Do start before 8 if you want to go to the Colorado.
