Very windy during the night. Light mist at dawn. By the time I got back to the Loop it was warm & dry. Great wildflowers along trail. The long traverse section of trail which usually has numerous snow melt streams crossing trail were almost all dry. The view of Heavens Peak near sunset was great, along with a large meadow of Glacier Lilies and Spring Beauties just a few feet from my tent. The burned trees are from the Trapper Peak fire of 2003, which was started by a lightning strike. The fire on the far shore of Lake McDonald is also from 2003, that one was from a campfire outside of the park. http://glacierhikers.com/
