Skiing Timberline to Thunderhead on the Glade Trail

This follows the route of the historic Skiway Bus that went from Thunderhead Lodge in Government Camp to Timberline Lodge. This track does not take you into the center of Government Camp. Take the Glade Trail from Timberline Lodge, or enter the Glade Trail from the Kruser run. Read the sign - you're leaving Timberline Ski area after you cross Kruser; the rest of this trail is not patrolled and you're responsible for your own safety. Ski with a friend, and be careful when the snow is deep. Continue skiing down the Glade Trail. When you get to the intersection with the Skiway Trail, take that - it will go to the right while the Glade trail goes left into town. Do not take the crosstown trail. Keep going straight on the Skiway trail, following the powerlines for a bit. Eventually the powerlines will turn right, stay on the Skiway trail to the left. Follow that down until you get to Thunderhead Lodge.
