I hiked this with my 21 year old son. We got a late start and wanted time to enjoy the falls and suspension bridge so ended up hiking it in reverse. We stayed at camp site D3 which was the nearest site to the creek per the Ranger but because it was almost dark when we got there we weren't able to get water. Wish we'd of hiked a little further to the unmarked campsite right on the creek. There's also a parallel cable crossing to a larger campsite on the other side. Because we hiked in reverse of the recommended route, we had an 1800' ascent in 1.5 miles which was difficult but doable. Don't recommend it though unless you're just out for the challenge. The hike was strenuous. The falls are beautiful and suspension bridge fun. We ate lunch under the bridge on the water at the top of the falls. Fun hike. Would do again but allow more time the first day.
