The Buckeye Trail was beautiful and scenic under the cover of snow. The views were nice with the leafless trees. This is also a more serene portion of the Towpath Trail; the snow covering the trail also made it feel more rustic. There didn’t seem to be much to Stumpy Basin, particularly with it covered in snow. I’m guessing this is not the best season in which to visit Stumpy Basin. I didn’t encounter a single person on the Buckeye Trail or Valley Trail, and fewer than ten on the Towpath Trail on this wintery weekday. With Winnie.
