Yes, there is a climber's trail starting from the road. 2, maybe 3 cars could fit. Easy trail to follow the first couple of miles, and then there is a section with quite a bit of bush whacking...Once you get above treeline, it is just spectacular. Easy traveling and still plenty of water sources. There are awesome campsites in that flat area around 6800' on the way up. Great views and water. We came down the standard route because we didn't want to bush whack again, although now I think it's a toss up between the brush or the never ending boulder fields on the standard route. I definitely recommend it, a really fun adventure. I bet you could bypass all the bush whacking and have a much easier go of it if you went earlier in the season. Then all that difficult section would be covered in snow.

Hmm have never see this route before (east leg). Is there much of a trail?
