Hiked with Mary, from HPS. Trail: excellent condition! Took Cottowood Pass Trail to PCT & then scrambled up steep, class 2 blocks to summit. Wether: sunny, 70’s & gusty winds over 40 mgr at summit. Water Source: several streams along the way & a lake. Wildlife Sightings: marmots, squirrels, birds & trout in the streams. Altitude Effects: TG today was much better! No nausea, got some sinus pain when summited, I contribute this to the strong winds & no face cover. Summit: huge blocks of granite, etc, wide open all directions with heavenly views!! Untouched beauty! Just gorgeous! Other Hikers: met several through hikers, some going to Cañada. Met @mtn.mike76 at Horsemeadows Campground, who was doing Mt. Whitney next morning. Injuries: none. I did have a mild slip & slide on the sandy portion when descending from the summit. No Injuries, backpack saved me :) Learning Point: bring winter/ thicker gloves when hiking over 10,000 ft. Highlight Of The Hike: 1) No altitude symptoms!!!! 2) No injuries 3) First time hiking at altitude above San Gorgonio Mt. !!! 4) First Sierra Peak for me! 5) blessed, happy & humbled
