Woke up to pouring rain and my tent in a mud puddle. Stayed inside as long as I could and then decided to pack up camp and skip my second backcountry night at campsite 38. Didn’t relish being at the top of Mt. Sterling with wet gear. Took the big creek trail back to my car. Very lush and scenic trail running along big creek the entire way. Flat and easy. Took my time taking photos and collecting some moss. Passed many waterfalls, rapids and dripping moss covered rock walls.
