This is a fantastic trail in Pioneertown that has so much variety! We hiked it in February and the weather was perfect. There was water in the stream. About a third of the way through you can see the Olsen cabin ruins. The second half has a lot of up hill climbing, but nothing too difficult for the average hiker. The views of the valley are definitely worth it! The last 4th of the trail is different than what is on the map. (you can see on my recorded route). the current owners of that part of the trail don't allow hikers. The new trail is very clearly marked. (The new trail is better anyway.).
