At the start of the trail, it used to have a steep route for the first 50 yards or so. It has been relocated I assume to make it a little easier - whatever. The trail to the lake has recently had maintenance and is in the best shape I've ever seen it. The road to get there is in pretty decent shape as well. Pro Tip: If the TH is NOT in a state park, safe to say it's best to have a rig that can handle pot holes and ruts in the road.
