A trail named in honour of one of Newfoundland's greatest geologists. This one is a climb with 2000 stair steps built to aid the climb. Go right at the fork for a more gradual ascent and left for the direct one.
This was a surprisingly nice trail. It starts out as relatively unremarkable ATV trail but turns into a beach-side trail with newly made boardwalks, signs, stairs etc. Leads to a couple of nice waterside camping areas which would be nice for boat access as well.
This used to be the sheep trail between the two towns. We were lost a bit on this track when we made the mistake of following ATV trails. Just follow the coast and you'll only need a bit of bushwhacking.
Partial with wandering.
Hiking with 3 others. Travelling south to north. Trail is a well travelled ATV route up to Clam Cove. After this point trail largely vanishes in blow downs and bog, but a path does reappear in forest at Chance Cove Provincial Park.
With detour to pond for swim.
