Especially if you haven't got a full day to hike, this is a gem along the High Desert NRT. With the exposure, probably best done in spring. Our group thought this to be a better hike to The Chair than from Devil's Punchbowl. There were a couple of creek crossings, and in June we did not have a problem crossing with our boots on. Springtime yielded some beautiful wildflowers. Keep in mind the trail does get sketchy in several locations where erosion has left narrow paths very close to the edge of steep drop offs. Still, if you pay close attention it is easily navigable.
