Has water for dogs
Lots of cows. Lots of road. Not recommended.
Lots of camp spots along the west side of the lake. Very lush & green hike, great for dogs, a few steep places, very nice trail, not too hard.
Gaia stopped before we did. This was an amazingly beautiful spot to camp, and there’s room for at least 20 tents. Water in nearby creek.
We parked at Conoco and walked on the pedestrian bridge across I-70. This was the closest we could find. The trail starts up right by the highway so there is lots of car noise at first. Fairly steep until the Wheeler Lakes turn off. No people at Lost Lake on this Saturday, but there were a ton of jumping fish. The pass was fairly easy & worth the trip up. After 2.5 miles, plenty of water for dogs.
Stunning views. Can see Huron across the lake which looks like it’s at the end of an infinity pool. Definitely work the bush wacking through some willows.
