This recorded track is Vivian Creek Trailhead to San Gorgonio Summit and back down to High Creek Camp on Thursday, June 5th. On Friday, June 6th we exited out from High Creek Camp to Vivian Creek for 6 miles of downhill, taking 2 1/2 hours( not recorded ). Carried 30 pounds to High Camp with 8 other friends. We dropped our packs and set up our tents. 7 of us continued on to the summit. Needed crampons for the last 2.5 miles, took us 2 hours in crampons to get through the snow to the summit for an arrival time of 5 pm. Very challenging, but manageable with the right gear ( crampons and hiking poles). Very rewarding. Such a strong, determined group of friends. So proud of us.
