Amazing hike. Long, loose rock scramble to the higher, dome-neighbor peak. Windy.
Started too late for summit. Lunch on the rock "chair" after 800m elevation gain.
Snow and weather. Hit points where trail was passable.
Partial out & back because I did not have transportation on the other side. Camped at North Fork campsite. I was the only hiker, lots of hunters. Be sure and bring some bright orange clothing during Elk hunting season. Trail was generally ok but muddy sections were extra muddy due to horses being ridden/guided on trail.
Tracking fail at start due to incorrect gps/location setting in app.
Trail unmarked and overgrown. Could follow but was often impeded bybrambles, bushwhacking required. Turned back.
2 hr to lake / lunch spot rock
Lots of baby chipmunks
