Slope Angle

Description

Colorful slope shading designed with backcountry ski tours and other mountain adventures in mind. Use this map in conjunction with contour lines or the Shaded Relief overlay to help you get a more precise idea of slope steepness and identify subtle changes in terrain.

Warning

It's always possible that the angle has been underestimated, or that the actual angle is significantly steeper on small, localized slopes. Always verify angles with a slope meter, and seek proper education before venturing into avalanche terrain.
