There was a fire in this area awhile back so there are not a lot of trees for shade. We went August 3rd and it was hot. You don’t get close to the NF Shoshone river for about 5 miles but you can see it the whole way. The path is a bit rocky off n on. There were several different kinds of flowers in bloom. A few small streams of water coming out of the mountain to cross but nothing you would have to take your shoes off for. Beautiful mountains all around with quite a bit of new trees coming up but just to hot at this time of year.
