This was our first trip to the Iller Creek unit of the Dishman Hills Conservation area. We sure chose a wonderful day (May 21st) to go. The wildflowers were everywhere! The trail conditions were very good and there are a couple of places for nice views to the south, looking out over Palouse country. There is a good parking area which appears to be monitored with cameras. There are a couple of places where the trail has been washed over, probably because hikers and bikers have cut across switchbacks. It was not heavily traveled mid-day on a Tuesday.

This hike is about half of the Iller Creek hike both in distance and elevation gain but the destination is the same - Big Rock. The views and rocks are worth seeing. The parking lot is large and the trail is in good shape except for a few muddy spots.

Very beautiful. Fall colors are brilliant and the weather was perfect. The Rocks of Sharon are an amazing sight plus the views in all directions are worth seeing. No trail problems and no bugs.

Fall has arrived at Iller Creek. Gorgeous colors and the trail is in fantastic shape. Lots of ground bees but they are not bothering anyone.
