Lots of stuff to see, in a short 6 mile hike. I parked at the entrance to the forest service road and walked the road to the Neches River. From the end of the forest service road on, there is no trail. It’s all bushwhacking here on outs. However, there is very little underbrush, making the hike easier than expected. For those in the know, I heard a very clear wood knock.

One of favorite short rides. It goes past the wild pitcher plants and through a number of creeks. Great ride on horses!
