Solo hiked on 1/1/25. Turned back at the rockfall, it took about 7 hours total. There were multiple pools (3 back to back in the very beginning) about knee deep. Was feeling fine hiking in trail runners with neoprene socks, the mud almost ate my shoe one time. Only saw 2 hikers past the pools of muddy water and there was a dead goat. Pretty easy hike overall.

December 18, 2018. Nearly the shortest day of the year but more than enough sunshine. Jacket weather, varying from cool in the morning to warm and comfy mid-day. Wind was light and skies were clear. Yesterday at paw Hole and Cottonwood Cove was wow! despite being overcast, pictures were still great.
The wave is amazing and full of surprises—an A+. We were not disappointed.
