Nice road to just get out and ride. Not hardly any traffic and road in good shape.

In mid April, the leaves were still off of the trees, giving better views along the trail. Some of the understory trees were starting to blossom. The trail was dry except for a few small spots where seeps created mud.

Way too many trees down and the end of the trail is closed off so you have to turn around. Would not go if raining. Big mistake.

This was a nice ride walk for me. Some sections too steep and other too rocky and rough. It was fun to get out and the descent at the end of the ride was fun. The trail is a little narrow and not much room for mistakes so be prepared.

Easy dirt track running along the mountain side up into Reddish Knob. Any car can make it.

I took my Jeep TJ down this trail by mistake, meant to do Flagpole Knob which is close by. I was able to do it with my 2.5” lift and 33s, but not without busting a fuel line and having to hike down the trail and leave it sitting for 3 days. Luckily there was a really nice guy who lived at the bottom of the trail to hike up with me and help me fix it. The trail is down and back up, there are 2 gates at the bottom and theres also a massive rock shelf to go over if you go around the gates (not recommended). The whole trail is very rocky which put a huge beating on the Jeep, not a smooth ride. Also there are a few puddles but theyre either shallow or have a way around them. I wouldn’t recommend for OHV travel.

Fantastic intermediate ride with some advanced features. Great combo of climbs and downhill fun. Bring a downloaded map!!!

Ramsey’s Draft to the Shenandoah Trail, and back to the parking lot. Lots of high water and pretty heavy vegetation. The Laurels on the Shenandoah Between Jerry’s Run and Ramsey’s Draft are pretty heavily grown-in.

Not a hike but great but technical overland/off-road. If you are looking for a challenge, this is a good trail to do.

Had a great run up Skidmore and down Union with about 11 vehicles from stock to highly modified. This is an awesome trail for all!

Great trail for Jeeps or four wheel drive vehicles. Nice primitive campsites throughout including one that overlooked a great view of the mountain range. Need higher clearance but we kept the jeep in 2W for most of the Fire road travels but did drop it in 4WL when we tackled the mud pits.
