Easy but pretty trails. Minimal ascent unless you climb on the different rock formations that you hike by - flatiron, castle and badlands rock. At least do one of them for the stunning 360 degree views. In summer I bet the hike is brutal in 90+ degree weather. Hiking in 50 degree was easy. You easily underestimate distances though. Measure it out before.

Great first 10 mile hike for a couple of Boy Scouts , flat terrain, and a perfect place to practice map and compass/ orienteering skills!
