It’s a good hike. It’s only as hard as you want to make it. I did 10.84 miles in 3 hours 38 minutes with about 10 minutes of not moving. I didn’t take that much time to observe the scenery in depth but did watch some as I was moving. I saw a deer and some birds but wasn’t looking too hard for them. I was the only one on the trail, didn’t pass another hiker, but did pass by campsites with campers who’s tents were still up. There is fairly steep terrain at times, muddy areas at times, at least two or three saturated areas that I had to detour around, and well marked paths. There is an upper loop and other trail entry locations as well.

Longer than it seems. Make sure you bring a change of socks! Lots of elevation change.

Good place to go backpacking, especially if you’re in SE Ohio and just need to do a quick gear shakedown or practice.
Otherwise, this trail is pretty but nothing spectacular. If you’re used to the west, you’ll be bored.
Also, it is not the best maintained trail. Lots of erosion, extremely muddy much of the trail, and most of the wooden footpaths over marshy/creeks are sunken in at least one section.

Perfect day! Only saw 1 person. This gives quick easy access to the trail in an unpopulated area. Very close to the campground also.
