Hiked from the old Mosser Crossing to the pivot area on National Forest Service land and then back along the river, across from the Elkhorn ranch unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Bugling elk, Whitetail deer, wild turkeys, and many magpies along the way. The ash trees have turned amazing shades of yellow, with the cottonwoods to follow in the coming weeks.
