Bear Paw State Natural Area is a protected area in North Carolina.
Getting Started
Parking at end of Dutch Creek Road. Entrance through gate. Old road leads passed log cabin and becomes covered in wildflowers. Connection of roads has some trees marked with weathered red tape.
When to Go
Few hikers: in two visits I only encountered two other hikers and a Grandfather State Park Ranger parked by the gate.
