Beautiful hike with amazing view of GWL and a cool beavered up pond. Lots of ticks today but it really was a beautiful hike! Fire road is nice way to start a d end too

This is a super nice quiet walk through the woods. Most if it is in forest access roads till you get up the initial climb up to 17a and down the other side to the lake. After the lake it is mountain bike / X Country ski trails. A great hike for anyone, but especially someone who may not like extreme climbing , rocky decents etc. all pretty tame trails. Dog thought it was 100%.

Lovely Loop. Easy hike well suited to beginners although it’s almost 7 mi. long. Gorgeous 360 degree view from the Stirling fire tower. The stretch of trail along Stirling Lake is very pretty. Views, lakes, cascading streams, and rolling terrain. Overall, a great hike...
Bald Eagles above Stirling Lake!!
Pelted by melting ice flowing down from the tree tops during the morning. Wear a light shell next time even though it was sunny and relatively warm.
