Overview

Long Pond Ironworks State Park is a 6,911 acre state park in Passaic County, New Jersey. There are many structures in the vast area of Long Pond Ironworks that are undergoing restoration. There is a museum and a visitors center with tours of the ruins, available. The Wanaque River and Monksville Reservoir are within the park.

Getting Started

The trails of Long Pond Ironworks allow visitors to explore the ironworks ruins. The park contains 10 trails that cross the rugged hillsides of Tranquility Ridge and Burnt Meadow Mountain as well as the swiftly flowing Wanaque River. Most trails are multi-use and range from old forest roads to single track.

Permits

Hunting is permitted in designated areas within the park.
