Like to do this hike every fall. Such a beautiful area. 1/2 of this loop is along the NCT and is well marked and maintained. The other 1/2, managed by the state park, is not marked and maintained as well, but has a defined enough trail that it is a nonissue. Be prepared first and little up and down. The views are worth it.
