Great local trail for biking and hiking. Easy access from the Mill, and Riffle Ford Rd.

Little Bennet isn’t the most exciting place but it sure is convenient if you live in MOCO. This is my favorite route in the park so far. The route is long enough to escape some of the crowds on more popular routes, and there are several miles of nice dirt footpaths instead of those paved and packed gravel paths. Trails are well marked. No real elevation changes so I would still rate this as easy despite the length. You pass through beautiful woods and meadows and find the ruins of several Tobacco barns and other stone buildings (fun for kids).

I will paddle for a few hours plus a picnic next time. I will also go up creek as far as can- explore inland.

A nice easy, mostly flat hike with pleasant streams, forest, and some clearings. Some sections of the trail are wide and hard packed gravel, others are more traditional footpaths. A little too developed for my taste but nice for what it is.
