First time here. June. I was cycling on a gravel bike. There are a few trails inside the refuge on which bikes are allowed. Blue and green trails. Most are on the south side. I rode on the Greenway Trail at first and then followed the perimeter trail around the outskirts of the refuge. Most of this is on gravel trails with a few stretches on sidewalks and roadways. Only had to cross traffic one time on 56th avenue where the existing Greenway Trail crosses. Very little ascent. <250’. Lots of sun. Saw two type of deer, bison, prairie dogs and numerous birds.
There are several parking areas near the main entrance. I saw no facilities except at the parking areas.
