Great horseback ride; maybe possible to drive up through the CG if the road is good w/trailer and park; save about 1 mile of climbing in and out. Take pruners and a small saw, trail could use some grooming as of May 21, 2024. Great ride, water in the creek, a full tank! Fun to ride by the climbers at the Banks too. Rocky, shoes def recommended on your horse.

This trail winds through the desert hills and rocks above Cañon City. Filled with tons of fun rock sections and downhills. It switchbacks up through the hills and around a large rock face. While only one of two rides we did here, I would recommend it to anyone of decent ability looking for a super fun ride.

Definitely a nice trail to take your jeep on for the beginner I would read it two or three mainly because of ground clearance in some spots takes a little over an hour at a very conservative pace nice off-road and close to Pueblo Canyon city area without driving too far

Pretty easy and a lot of desert. Got to the beginning of The Path of Less Resistance so I’ll update Part 2 when I get around to it! Great for the dog, but no water sources anywhere so make sure to bring water!

Cool history, if you go past the marked trail it goes to a nice plateau!

Once past the West side of S Mountain there are many piñon trees and 50-100’ deep arroyos and many basalt outcrops. Recent snows left mud puddles and ice. Please walk/ride through them so as not to widen the trail. Leave no trace. Enjoy.

These are great single track trails - be cautious of fast moving bikers!
