Trail was relatively clear, steep but still a fun time. Colder with mild winds towards the top, otherwise perfect weather.

Outstanding hike in the Caribou Wilderness. Multiple small lakes, wild flowers and scenery. Moderate hike with overall gradual elevation changes. A number of alternate trails. Strongly recommended.

Lassen National Forest has so much to offer. This medium hike was wonderful and worth the trip. For those looking for a lake, don’t come in late June (there was no water, not sure if there is ever). Even without water there is so much to see and enjoy from strong running water (beginning and end of hike) to soft sand (early in) nice paths (most of way) and some small rock scrambling )if you so desire at lake area). Go enjoy!

Beautiful, easy, level hike with great views of Lassen Peak. Appropriate for all ages if in moderate physical condition. No dogs allowed.
