Canyoning up stream from the tat krok waterfall is an epic mix of swimming, climbing and walking. Beware that this is not a beginner watercrawl. There’s a few serious climbing problems and if the water flow is strong enough there are significant swimming and current challenges, including some dangerous situations underneath pounding waterfalls that need to be treated with extreme caution. Enjoy and stay safe!

A great hike with stunning waterfalls, some scrambling and drops but not recommended when the ground is wet.

First: be respectful. Cover your knees and shoulders. No shorts or skirts above the knee in the monastery. Uber/Grab to the Basecamp coffee shop. Half mile uphill to trailhead. Two phase hike. First to the monastery is a moderate rocky path. Second climbs 400 ft in 500 m. Not difficult buts it like climbing 30+ flights of stairs. We walked down as well. Three hrs overall including exploring.

This is a great trail that only gets steep very close to the end near the Buddha’s footprint. It is a bit dusty and there are a few loose leaves but overall it’s fantastic offering a view of picturesque valleys on both sides of the ridge.
