Did this trail once more time on a different loop. Love it just as much the second time. The path marked in Gaia from Loma del Calvario is not really a maintained one - I suggest avoid that (not difficult but better use the marked trail). Amazing views of Mulhacen and Alcazaba again.

Best hike we had in the Sierra Nevada with gorgeous views of Mulhacen and the peaks around. Hiked the loop clockwise turning left to Refugio La Cucaracha then back and up towards Cortijo del Hornillo. Track recorded is shorter as I only started recording about 2.5 miles in.

Nice walk out from town up the river valley. Some beautiful views, but the trail is often covered with water because of the natural springs coming down off the hill.

Beautiful loop hike, with verdant valley views, river crossings and views back over Capileira, Bubión and Pampaneira, including walks through each of the villages.
