A Very nice 6 Kilometer hike with not too much uphill or downhill. Beautiful views of the Douro River and surrounding valley.

First hike of our Portugal Valley of Gold trip. Very charming hike and we only got confused once as the notes mentioned a cemetery on the right where we were to turn but the cemetery was on the left side of the trail. Beautiful vineyard country but as it’s October the grapes have all been picked. Did taste a few very sour green grapes as well as 3 red grapes that had turned to raisins. We got lucky as the weather stayed nice most of the day and there was even a slight breeze.
