Herlan Peak is inside of Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, you can access Christopher's Loop from the Tahoe Rim Trail. The loops is approximately a mile. The loop trail takes you above Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe and offers spectacular view of the Lake.
